The New York Times posted a photo series of the digital rendering of New York City for The Avengers. These also happen to be pictures of the VFX unit I was a part of.
The Avengers was pure, fantastic entertainment. I haven’t had this much fun at a movie since I was four and first saw Jurassic Park.
(Yeah, check out this sweet trailer).

My first real job here in New York was on the VFX unit of The Avengers. It’s up there as one of the best experiences of my life; making friends with a small crew of awesome people when I didn’t know anyone in the city yet, working closely with Industrial Light and Magic, and at one point even standing in for the Hulk on a frame-test. Now, a year later, I can’t wait to finally see one of the biggest movies of the year on the big screen, and know that I was a part of it.
The Hulk from 1978.
I love that trying to change a tire is what sets him off.
The original Captain America from 1990.
Points for spotting the dad from A Christmas Story.
I love dinosaurs, and I worked on The Avengers. Which makes this silly awesome.
What’s more, I worked on Captain America, and Parasaurolophus was my favorite dinosaur as a kid. Which makes this just indescribable.
